Santa will be making some extra special visits this Christmas thanks to Embrace Supporters

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our amazing community, we have been able to provide over 1300 gifts for children and young people who have been harmed by crime, to make sure Santa can visit everyone this year. Our annual Dear Santa campaign has been another overwhelming success, bringing joy and cheer to children who may otherwise not have received any gifts this Christmas.

The families referred to Dear Santa have all experienced trauma due to the crimes of others. As survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse or grieving the loss of a loved one killed by crime. For many of these families the financial burden of Christmas brings additional stress and worry, at what should be a magical time of year. Embrace’s Dear Santa campaign this year asked supporters to help Share Santa’s Love and make sure that all children had a gift of choice under the tree to open on Christmas morning.

And thanks to the support of companies such as Amazon (Peterborough), Motorola Solutions, Altia Ltd, Bluewater Giving Tree, RockJam and Lush as well as our amazing individual supporters, and those that referred children to the campaign, we were able to provide 1,312 gifts.

We would like to express our incredible gratitude to each and every individual and company that has supported the campaign. Your kindness and compassion, at a time when the cost-of-living crisis mean that Christmas is more difficult for everyone, will make the holidays magical for children who need the love of Santa more than ever.

Jenny Raine, Head of Service Delivery said: “Thanks to your support and donations we have been able to provide meaningful gifts to children who otherwise may have thought they had been forgotten by Santa. With your help we have been able to make Christmas magical for them.”

Embrace CVoC is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children who have been harmed by crime, at Christmas and beyond. We are the only organisation in the UK that is solely focused on supporting young survivors of crime to recover from their trauma, rebuild their lives and go on to fulfil their potential. These children have dealt with unimaginable trauma in their young lives and police officers, teachers or others working in safeguarding roles refer them to Embrace CVoC for counselling, practical and emotional support.
