Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful donors, supporters and fundraisers we raised a massive £9,156 for children harmed by crime in just 7 days!
Embrace Child Victims of Crime launched the match-funding campaign, sponsored by corporate partner Celerity Ltd, on Giving Tuesday – 28th December.
We aimed to raise £4,000 in one-week to support our Dear Santa Christmas campaign, with Celerity Ltd agreeing to match fund this amount. Our supporters and corporate partners went above and beyond raising an amazing £9,156 in those 7 days. With Celerity’s £4,000 of match funding this takes the total to £13,156!
The money raised will help us support children and young people who have been harmed by crime at Christmas, through our Dear Santa campaign, and beyond.
Jenny Raine Head of Service Delivery Said:
“The children, young people and families we support have already suffered immense tragedy through the crimes they have experienced. Some are facing the first Christmas without a loved one, others have escaped domestic violence or survived sexual abuse.
Christmastime is already hard for these families and the cost-of-living crisis makes it more so. Embrace provides therapeutic and practical support, which is needed all year, but even more so at Christmas.”
