Join Team Embrace and help us give young crime victims their lives back

Wednesday 22 June 2022

Whether you’re a thrill seeker looking to do your first bungee jump, or a runner looking for a muddy, mountainous or marathon challenge, we have a packed fundraising events calendar ready for willing volunteers!

Embrace Child Victims of Crime has teamed up with Run for Charity to be able to offer its supporters a wide range of fundraising challenges across the UK.

From muddy obstacle courses to half marathons and marathons, bungee jumps to an 100km ultra marathon through mountains, there are challenges available all over Britain.

Our charity does not receive any direct funding from Government, we rely heavily on the generosity of our public supporters who take on challenges for us to raise funds to pay for our vital services.

Chief Executive Anne Campbell said: “Run for Charity enables us to give our supporters access to a huge variety of events across the UK, meaning busy people will be able to find a challenge close to home to support us and know their efforts are changing lives. According to the Crime Survey for England and Wales, more than one in 10 children aged between 10 and 15 are the victims of crime each year. Witnessing or being a victim of crime can devastate lives but we know that with the right services we can help families heal and give them a brighter future. We are so grateful to all the supporters who take on challenges for us each year and hope our supporters will be tempted by some of these big events.”

Last year, we supported 3,738 young crime victims and their families across the UK, providing emotional support and counselling to help heal their trauma and practical support to help them re-build their lives.

Will you help us reach more children and families whose lives have been devastated by their experiences of crime?
