Barefoot Coaching helps make Christmas wishes come true for 25 children

Barefoot Coaching has purchased 25 gifts for children as part of our Dear Santa 2021 campaign.

Every child who is referred to Dear Santa 2021 chooses one gift they’d really like to receive from Santa, up to the value of £35. The gifts are available to buy through our Dear Santa 2021 wishlist on our website and our Christmas elves ensure the gifts reach the child who wished for them.

We work with children who have suffered trauma because of crime. They may be grieving the loss of their mum, dad, brother, sister or other family member who has been unlawfully killed. They might have experienced sexual, physical, or emotional abuse or have been living in a home torn apart by domestic violence. These children have had to deal with often unimaginable horrors in their young lives and agencies such as the police, social services or support charities refer them to us to get the help and support they need.

Barefoot Coaching’s Founder and CEO, Kim Morgan, said: “When we heard about the amazing work that Embrace do you support young victims of crime, we knew we wanted to get involved. The best part about it is knowing that every child will have a gift from their own Christmas wish list to open on Christmas Day.”

Barefoot Coaching based in Castle Donington, in the East Midlands, has been at the forefront of the coaching and coach training industry for over 25 years, providing business leaders with the skills they need to have effective and meaningful coaching conversations with those around them.

Barefoot Coaching has trained over 4,500 people from around the world to become ICF accredited/post-graduate trained coaches. Barefoot’s sole purpose is “Making the world a brighter place through exceptional coaching.”

Anne Campbell, chief executive of Embrace Child Victims of Crime, said: “We are so grateful to the whole team at Barefoot Coaching for their generous support for our Dear Santa campaign. “Many children we support will not have received a ‘main’ Christmas present before because of their family’s circumstances. Dear Santa is a wonderful way for us to show them there is kindness in the world after all the hurt they’ve faced. There are still hundreds of gifts available to purchase and we’d love to speak to other businesses about how they can get involved.”

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • Every child who is referred to Dear Santa 2021 gets to choose a gift they would like to receive from Santa and these gifts are available for you to buy through Embrace’s website.
  • Santa’s elves will gift wrap it for you and ensure it gets to the child who wished for it.
  • You can purchase a gift for a child harmed by crime directly from the Dear Santa Wish List. Here you’ll find a list of Dear Santa gifts together with the recipient’s age, the region they come from, and the crime.
  • You can also donate any amount to the appeal and we will then buy a gift for you.
