Simon Kerss

Special Advisory Team

Simon has been employed as a full-time lecturer in criminology at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, since November 2017.  However, he has taught on a part-time basis at that institution since 2013.  Simon’s specialism as a criminologist is in victimology, specifically in agency responses to gender-based violence, domestic abuse and sexual violence.

With regards to research output, Simon is currently leading a collaboration with the Policing Institute for the Eastern Region (PIER) via a commission from the Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex to explore reasons which may account for Domestic Abuse (DA) victim non co-operation in that force area.
