TEAM EMBRACE’S CYCLING HEROES RAISE THOUSANDS FOR THE FORGOTTEN VICTIMS OF CRIME

Team Embrace, Chris Caddy, Antony Rich, Gareth White, Nick Tilson, Ian Dudgeon, Nick Lemin and Phillip Cooper completed the Prudential Ride London Surrey 100 on Sunday 30th July in support of Embrace Child Victims Of Crime.

Our riders had an early start on Sunday as they set off from Stratford’s Olympic Park through to Richmond and into the sunny Surrey Hills, before looping back into the city centre. Rider Chris Caddy said ” Personally the race went better than I’d expected. I was initially aiming for the 6hr mark so to come in at 5hrs 35mins was very pleasing, however reaching the £400 mark in sponsorship for Embrace CVoC definitely topped the day off”

As we welcomed the wonderful Embrace Charity 100 riders back from their epic trip across the capital, to the Surrey Hills and back the atmosphere in Green Park was electric, each rider coming home with big smiles and quick times.

We are extremely proud of Team Embrace for their tremendous efforts not only during the race but with their fundraising, training and support leading up to the event. We’d like to say a huge congratulations to each rider and a massive thank you for choosing to support Embrace Child Victims of Crime. Chief Executive Anne Campbell said: “We’re very proud of our riders who have raised thousands of pounds to help young victims of crime recover from their ordeals and move on. We offer a range of practical and emotional support services so there is something for everyone”

Embrace CVOC will have a number of charity places available next year’s Prudential Ride London Surrey 100 and we will be looking for keen cyclists to be part of our team. If you would like to cycle for us then please contact chloe@embracecvoc.org.uk to register your interest. We look forward to hearing from you.
