Waseem Mirza

Waseem Mirza is an award-winning British TV presenter, former BBC news journalist, and now a screen and voice actor.

He was born and grew up in Peterborough and after graduating from the University of Lincoln worked for BBC World, BBC Asian Network and the eastern regional nightly news programme BBC Look East.

Whilst at BBC Look East, he was named TV Hotshot by Broadcast – a UK media industry magazine. The award recognised his ability to attract a new generation of younger viewers to television news in his role as lead presenter of the 8pm news summary on BBC One.

Waseem can be seen making his debut as a TV reporter in Season 3 of the Batman origin series: Pennyworth, which premieres this summer on HBO Max. Further dates, platforms and territories to be announced by Warner Bros.
