Steve Rudkin

Service Manager- Bedfordshire

Steve Rudkin is Embrace’s Service Manager currently focussing on the Bedfordshire
area and works closely with the Bedfordshire Victims Hub and Victims
Partnership. Steve oversees provision of  therapies for young people who
have been exposed to domestic abuse or sexual violence through 1-2-1
specialist counselling and group-work.

Prior to this, Steve has many year’s experience working directly in the
areas of domestic abuse, working with both victims and perpetrators. He was
the Cambridgeshire County Domestic Violence Prevention, Training and
Educational coordinator for over 3 years. In this role he was responsible
for the operational management and delivery of the prevention and education
agenda in relation to Domestic Abuse and Honour Based Violence within the
Multi Agency Referral Unit. In addition to this he was responsible for the
coordination and management of identified strategic aims & all training
delivery provided by the statutory and non-statutory sector throughout the
county of Cambridgeshire. During this time he oversaw the growth of victim
support programmes in the county, and introduced the Phoenix recovery
programme for domestic abuse victims.

Steve is also a professionally qualified BACP registered Counsellor &
Psychotherapist and holds additional trainings in this field.’
