Kelly Johnson

Young Victims Care Officer

Kelly has trained with the Domestic Abuse Intervention Program in America, the home of the Duluth model, RESPECT and AVA in London, spending the past 5 years working with children, young people and adults that have been affected by domestic abuse, supporting those families both inside and outside of the groups facilitated, with elements around safety planning to strategies of self care and looking after such difficult emotions.

Now, at Embrace Child Victims of Crime, she is focussed on listening to the voices of young people and their carers so that Embrace can work to provide them with the most appropriate support that they need and want in order to help them in their healing process. This can involve working to provide a young person with counselling, to providing the finance to support that young person with accessing piano lessons.
