Nitro car’s are steering the way to support young victims of crime

Children’s charity Embrace Child Victims of Crime (CVoC) are reaching top speeds at Santa Pod Race Way with support from fellow racers.

With keen supporters Andy Raw, owner and driver of Nitro Bug, and racing partner Karl Harrison helping to raise awareness of Embrace CVoC at Dragstalgia few weeks ago, the charity we’re delighted to be spending another weekend at Santa Pod Race Way, this time for the Mopar Euro Nationals.

With Nitro Bug making the papers last week, Andy and Karl have made it their mission to help spread awareness of the charity throughout the drag racing community, Andy says,

“We will be encouraging people at the track to support Embrace CVoC, helping to raise the profile of the charity to help as many young lives as possible”

Embrace CVoC is a national charity, that provides practical, cheer-up and counselling support to children across the UK who have been victims or otherwise affected by crime.

The charity’s range of emotional, practical, specialist and cheer-up support services make a big difference in brightening young people’s lives after the devastating effects of crime.

To help raise awareness, new supporter Matthew Wright, owner and driver of Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car, ’All or Nothing’ will be branding his car with the charity’s logo, Matthew says,

“ I am delighted to be part of such a great cause, All or Nothing Racing will be doing their bit to help raise funds for this incredible charity.”

Over the weekend the charity ran a raffle offering a chance to win a set of 8 signed piston heads and conrods from a 10,000 bhp Top Fuel Funny Car, kindly donated by Andy.

With Embrace team members also running a stand, over £600 was raised to help support young victims of crime better cope and move on from their ordeals.

New supporter, John Tebenham, JT as he’s know at the track has very kindly offered to match the money raised, now taking the total over £1000.

Social Media Fundraiser, Chloe Raw, says,

“We have been blown away by the support shown at the track these past few weeks. I would like to say a special thank you to our supporters, Andy Raw, Karl Harrison, Matthew Wright and John Tebenham for all your efforts supporting our cause. ”
