BARONESS FLOELLA BENJAMIN APPOINTED EMBRACE CHILD VICTIM OF CRIMES’ NEWEST AMBASSADOR

Actress, television presenter and children’s champion Floella Benjamin will be continuing to champion the rights of children in her new role as ambassador for national charity Embrace Child Victims of Crime (CVoC).

As a celebrity ambassador, Baroness Benjamin will use her public presence to help support our mutual desire to help children and young victims of crime.

“I am delighted to support the work of this important children’s charity.”

As the popular presenter of Play Away, Floella delighted many children and became a household name and personality. She has since gone on to achieve recognition for her work with a number of charities whose causes have been close to her heart.

“What happens in childhood can have lasting effects for the rest of their lives – Embrace’s work to support children who have been traumatised by crime is vital to help them recover and go on to fulfil their potential.”

Floella joins Channel 4’s Hunted investigative star Julie Clegg, a former police officer, and victim of sex assault as a teenager as Embrace’s latest celebrity ambassador.
